Armoire Redo

I found this old, shabby, beat-up armoire on the curb in my old neighborhood a couple of years back.  It was in pretty bad shape as you can see, but I saw potential in it and loaded it up in the car nonetheless.  (I can’t belive I actually used that beat-up old piece of furniture in its above run-down condition for almost two years, craziness!), but like I said, I saw great potential in this little-armoire-that-could, and it was finally time that I got around to giving it the much-needed TLC that it deserved.  So after sanding, painting, adding some decorative paper, new pulls, and a cute little owl applique, this is how that bad boy turned out:

Pretty darn cute if I do say so myself!  The yellow paint is the same paint that is on the nursery walls, and the orange was from a sample pot that I already had on hand.  The owl paper glued to the back of the cubby is actually wrapping paper that I found at World Market (the same paper that was used in this baby hanger project), and the pulls were purchased on eBay.  The little owl applique on the top right corner of the armoire was from a gift bag also found at World Market.

I love those little pulls, they are so adorable!  They were the perfect finishing touch that made the whole thing feel 100% finished and complete.  You can also check out the owl mobile and tree mural that are in this nursery too by clicking here and here 🙂

Thank  you so much for looking!!
