About

Hi, my name is Serina …

My fascination with photography and design, along with my borderline neurotic obsession with process and progression is why I have this blog.

I was nesting our 1950’s ranch home that I purchased in November 2009 with the help of my daughter, Olive, and betrothed-lover, Billy (sounds better than fiance, doesn’t it) prior to June 2014.  Moving forward from June 2014, we are now settling into our second home – a brand spankin’ new, hot off the assembly line, single-wide trailer, ahem, I mean , “mobile home” that I have endearingly nicknamed “the paper house.”

Hope you enjoy!

I just found your blog not too long ago and love it. Thanks for the inspiration and giving me a little extra push to try new decorating things! Oh and my daughter’s name is Olive too. Did you get odd reactions from people too? I certainly do up here in the Midwest! Thanks again!

Awesome, thank you! Yes, we always get “Olive Oyl” or people want to think her name is Olivia. We actually ran across another, younger, little girl named Olive at the childwatch center at the YMCA in my own town! So that tells me the name Olive might just be one that’s up-and-coming. I know Oliver is topping the charts as far as boys names go. Again, thank you for the lovely comment! Happy reading 🙂
